May I please remind you that it does not say RSVP on the Statue of Liberty?*

Blog Bucks: Last post title was from the Count of Monte Cristo - Congratulations to Sarah!

This past weekend I had the opportunity to go to Utah and visit with family and friends and attend the wedding of two good friends, Kami and Jesse.  For pictures sake, this will be the wedding post and the next one will be the family pictures post.

We started with a luncheon at 11...for which everyone was late - which I should have known, knowing both the bride and groom.  Kami was half an hour late though, but we knew she would come.

The food was good.  I am happy to report that I ate some salad and I didn't die.  I did however eat a 1/4 of a cucumber slice and almost did die.  I have officially added cucumbers to the list of food I don't like but can say I gave it an honest try.

After we ate they invited people to come up and share stories about Jesse and Kami.  I did not get up, it wasn't a lack of stories, I mean, I lived with Kami and Jesse and I worked together in our callings for several years and I went on vacation with him and his parents (that was a conversation starter with people at the wedding), but I was just really nervous around new people.  It was cool to meet more of Jesse's family and childhood friends and to revisit with Kami's family.

Kami looked so beautiful and Jesse had short hair thank goodness (I don't like when he does the shaggy hair/mountain man thing and I've told him this).  I brought Kami her snuggie all the way from Richmond and brought her some cinnamon baking chips as well.  I gave them to James, Jesse's brother, and then James lost the bag.  But he was happy to report that the bag made it all the way from SLC to Ogden somehow.

It was also cool to be able to see some "Richmonders" that have been gone for a while.  Some people I just happened to meet in Richmond who are no longer there and then a few natives as well.

if the government could just get to the kitchen, rearrange some things, we could certainly party with the Haitians...
