So I had my iTunes DJ on this morning and Nelly's "Hot in Here" came up and it made me laugh. Not because I have that on my iTunes - cause I know why I have it on here, it reminds me of college.
So, Rexburg, Idaho for those of you who have never been is cold most of the year. Not just cold like here in Virginia in the winter...it's FREEZING! So one group of roommates once broke in to this song, except that it doesn't work in Rexburg so they changed the words to, "It's getting cold in here so put on all your clothes."
And that's kind of how Rexburg was, you wanted to wear ALL of your clothes. Anyway, I just had a little flash back.
It makes me laugh when people change the words to a song, or even when they just flat out misunderstand a song.
I used to think that "Brick" (Ben Folds Five) went, "She's a breaking up proud and slowly." (the actual lyrics are "She's a brick and I'm drowning slowly").
So - any songs you've changed the words to or totally had wrong?

"Shorty had those apple bottom jeans boots with the spurs" I did not make that mistake but someone did and I will never forget it and never sing the song differently. It should be "...boots with the fur"
Well- apparently "She's a man eater" was wrong... Thanks for ruining THAT lyrical bubble for me in college.
Ah, Rexburg...my favorite part was being able to free up freezer space by keeping frozen foods outside in the snow. Everyone did it. Kept well!
Haha! Tami - what was it again, "She's a mad -" what? I can't remember all the details, but I do remember the lyrics were wrong.
When I was little I heard "Can't hurry love" as kangaroo love. Listen to the song...I'm still not completely convinced I'm wrong...
27 Dresses!
My mom's BFF thought the lyrics to a song were Long, Tall women in a pant suit. I think the real lyrics say something about a short dress instead of a pant suit, but you never know in the 80's.
my dashboard used to scroll like yours, but not anymore. i cant figure it out! It's annoying!
Ooh eee ooh I don't trust that Buddy Holly (...I look just like Buddy Holly)
Mom always thought that "there's a bad moon on the rise." was "There's a bathroom on the right."

When I was younger I thought my parents were saying "Cow God Take Me Away"....they were really quoting that body wash jingle "Calgon Take Me Away"
